The head of the White House was angry at China’s announcement of the introduction of 34%tariffs for American goods in response to US tariff steps.
Trump recalled that the United States warned the introduction of “new, higher tariffs” in the event of China’s actions.
“Yes, if China does not cancel its 34%increase, which exceeds the existing abuse of trade abuse, until tomorrow, April 8, 2025, the United States will introduce additional tariffs against China by 50%, starting April 9,” Trump emphasized.
He also added that “all negotiations with China in their needs to meet us will stop.”
Last week, Trump announced the introduction of 54%tariffs for the full Chinese import.
Earlier, US minister Howard Lutnik said Washington could not delay the action of “glass” duties against more than 180 countries introduced by US President Donald Trump.
