In the middle of Washington on Sunday, April 6, a mass rally was held in support of Ukraine. Both Ukrainian Diaspora representatives and Americans supporting Ukraine have come here, Ukrinform reports.
Representatives of communities and non -government organizations representing all 50 American states took part in the event.
It is noted that the rally will open steps as part of the Ukrainian Summit of Actions, which will be held in Washington in the coming days, if about 600 representatives of different states will talk to congressmen and senators’ offices about the need for further assistance in Ukraine.
The head of the delegations from the state of Missouri and Montana Marichka Glite mentioned that people went to Lincoln Memorial with various messages addressed to American authorities. At the same time, attention was drawn, inter alia, to recent Russian killings of Ukrainian and civilian children. In this context, he emphasized that negotiations with any Truce, when the Russians demonstrated the position of power, was not accepted.
