The terminals will provide incessant communication, in particular, to hospitals, schools and critical infrastructure facilities.
Ukraine has received an additional five thousand Starlink terminals from Poland, which will provide incessant communication in areas where it is needed. This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov on Thursday, April 3.
“The terminals will provide incessant communication in areas where they are needed – in hospitals, schools, in critical infrastructure facilities,” the minister explained.
Fedorov noted that Starlink will help residents of front -line areas to stay in touch: call relatives, call emergency services, read the news. Because, due to the flow and destruction of base stations in disconed territories, the standard connection is not available.
He added that Ukraine has received more than 50+ thousand Starlink terminals, of which 29,500 from Poland are most of them.
Keep in mind that earlier Reuters who referred to their own resources reported that American businessmen forcing Kyiv to get access to Ukraine minerals raised the question of the possibility of stopping APU access to the Starlink satellite system. Later, Musk denied media statements about Starlink’s possible shutdown in case Ukraine did not sign a mineral supply agreement.
In this regard, Poland has ensured that it will increase the number of Starlink terminals that operate in Ukraine to ensure a solid front connection.
