Denmark announced the 25th package of military aid of 6.7 billion kroons ($ 970 million). For these funds, they will buy new weapons, including the Danish model, when weapons for Ukraine are purchased from Ukrainian weapons.
Financing is carried out at the expense of the Ukrainian Fund and includes:
- Air defense systems and artillery objects;
- support for the Air Force of Ukraine;
- contribution to the Coalition of Dron and IT Coalition;
- Financing of the Ukrainian defense industry to the Danish model.
The safety of Ukraine is the safety of the whole of Europe, we want our help to inspire allies more decisively, the foreign minister Lars Locke Rasmussen emphasized.
Key package elements:
- 1.4 billion crowns – for artillery and ammunition through allies in 2025–2027;
- 2.0 billion crows – for investment in Ukrainian weapons production in 2026–2027;
Continuation of the Danish model – direct orders to Ukrainian manufacturers with an accent for efficiency and audit.
In 2024, Denmark already lifted 4.4 billion crown in Ukrainian industry according to this model. The Ministry of Defense is currently preparing a mechanism for using funds in 2025 – in particular, in coordination with the EU and international partners.
