The United States will miss the Ramshtein meeting for the first time.
Pentagon Hegset Hegset will not attend the collection of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine on April 11. The US Minister of Defense will not join the meeting personally or video. In addition, the United States will not send their representatives to Ramshtein. This was announced by the protective news portal with reference to interlocutors in Europe and the American source.
It is noted that Washington is still evaluating how their representatives will participate in various formats in support of Ukraine, including military assistance.
Recall that the format of Ramshtein, headed by the United States, was founded in the spring of 2022 to coordinate Kiev military assistance. He was created by the then chairman of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin, who invited representatives of 40 divisions to meet in Germany on April 22 to discuss the long -term needs of Ukraine for security.
After the presidency of Donald Trump, Ramstain captured Great Britain, and the previous meeting in the format took place in February for his presidency.
