The foreign ministers of the EU member states have agreed on another package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, but it will not include the gas embargo. This is what Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in his video message, posted on the official’s Facebook page on Monday, July 18.

He noted that the new package of sanctions mainly includes the clarification of existing rules and does not introduce additional restrictions on the transportation of energy resources.

“We have clearly indicated that if Gazprombank is on the list of sanctions, then we cannot support it. Gazprombank is not included in the sanctions measure we just received, as it does not contain any restrictions on the transportation of energy carriers. “said the head of the department. .

According to him, the document introduces an embargo on gold and additional restrictions on government purchases, as well as the acceptance of deposits.

Szijjarto also noted that 48 individuals, including the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, several Russian officials and nine organizations, including Sberbank, would be added to the list of EU sanctions.

Recall that the European Commission has proposed a seventh package of sanctions against Russia, including an embargo on gold exports.

In addition, the EU sees the results of sanctions against the Russian Federation. They are slowly starting to hit the Russian economy. Russia’s exports are the hardest.
