Foreign ministers of the leading European countries have discussed the possibility of imposing new sanctions against Russia and strengthening Ukraine’s support. This was stated in a joint statement following a meeting in Madrid, attended by representatives of Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain and Poland, as well as the Vice President of the European Commission of Kai Callas, Reuters reported Monday, March 31.
Diplomats in Moscow called for a “immediate and unconditional stop in equal terms” and emphasized that they were willing to increase the pressure on the Kremlin, including through new penalties.
G5+ countries have announced their intent to increase military, political and humanitarian support of Ukraine without specifying the details. They also emphasized that no peace agreements should limit the development of the Ukrainian defense industry or the availability of military allies in Ukrain.
Russian crimes and responsibilities
The meeting took place on the third anniversary of the release of Buchi, which, after the flight of Russian troops, the civilian killings were discovered. Separately discussed the possible expansion of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, initiated by France and Great Britain. Polish foreign minister Radoslav Sikorsky emphasized that this decision should make the Ukrainian government.
We reminded that Russia had previously confirmed a United States safety agreement to the Black Sea and both acknowledged blows. At the same time, the Kremlin said he could fulfill these conditions only after the West’s practical measures to soften the penalties.
