Five miners were killed in a mine in Spain

In the Spanish region of Asturia, an accident occurred at the corredo coal mine, as a result of which five miners were killed, four others were injured. Reuters reported this on Monday, March 31.

According to local emergency services, the incident occurred on the mornings of March 25 and 9:32 local time at the DeGany municipality. The cause of the accident is the malfunction of the equipment.

Three helicopters and two ambulances arrived at the scene. Two miners managed to prevent damage.

The head of the autonomous region Adrian Barbon was announced by a two -day mourning, and the Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez expressed condolences to the families of the dead.

Remember that as a result of the release of methane at a mine in Kazakhstan, six people were killed. Two others were injured.
