The General Chancellery of the Prosecutor General appeal to the Supreme Court canceled the ban on the activities of the Taliban in the country.
Last week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moscow judge sent dictator Vladimir Putin to exclude the Taliban from the Russian list of terrorist organizations.
Taliban is a political and warlike Islamic group that appeared in Afghanistan in the early 1990s, and the rules in Kabul after the exit of the US troops from the country in August 2021.
The Russian hearing is scheduled for April 17 and will be closed, the press service of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation received and adopted an administrative demand of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to suspend the prohibition of the Taliban movement listed in the united federal list of organizations, in particular, foreign and international organizations recognized in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Russia’s relations with the Taliban regime developed over time, since Moscow’s ostracism increased after the escalation of war in Ukraine.
The Taliban was added to the 2003 black list to support separatists in the North Caucasus. However, after the radical Islamist group seized Afghanistan in 2021, Moscow gradually deepened diplomatic interaction with the Taliban, accepting delegations for negotiations and even allowing it to participate in international forums.
In July, Putin called group A “reliable ally”, adding that the movement can help Russia in the fight against the “Islamic state”.
On December 28, the Russian dictator signed a law that allows you to temporarily stop the ban on the activities of organizations listed in the list of terrorists.
