The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine created the Office of Space Policy. He must unite state and private companies, as well as space industry scientists for interaction with the Ukrainian army.
Deputy Minister of Defense on Digitalization Katerina Chernorenko spoke about this during the space forum for Ukraine, the publication of the Public reports.
We have a law on space activity, which states that the Ministry of Defense should form a policy in the field of military space, ”she said. – This is not only the purchase of innovative solutions from engineers, but not only the creation of a community, so that the best decisions come to Ukraine, but also the creation of space forces.
According to Chernoruenko, the Ministry of Defense plans to become the main client of space equipment, products and services in Ukraine. And this leadership should unite state and private institutions, scientists of the space industry in order to interact with the forces of defense.

Chernorenko added that by 2030, Ukraine plans to have national satellites for defense purposes, as well as a system of aircraft notification and open air control.
