The new DRAFT agreement with Minerals has no opportunity to be signed in to the option of which the United States has prepared. This is announced in terms of anonymous Ukrainian official in a commentary in the Washington Post.
Another high official said in the publication that the agreement was impressed that Ukraine seemed “in the war with the United States, lost, (was) acquired and must now pay back throughout the living reparation.”
Resources note that the 55-page draft agreement prepared by Washington and published in the Financial Times is real. It does not contain any security guarantee and considers all US support, given to Ukraine during the war, as a debt subject to payment of income from the agreement.
The United States document also provides “the right of the first proposal” for all energy and mineral -related investments, which really provides Washington control over these sectors.
An old officer said the project is causing serious concerns in Ukraine, as it translates to previous United States grants as loans that need to be restored.
“There is no chance that he will sign this version. What is the righteousness of this? They may be in agreement with anything, because they do not realize anything significant. They either act boldly, or accidentally start in the most strict position, so that they will eventually go to a little concession,” one of the officials suggests.
Remember that Ukraine has received a draft economic agreement with the subsoil from the United States, now the document has been processed.
