The visit was planned with strict security measures, however, despite this, the decision to cancel it was made at the last minute.
German and Austria’s internal work ministers have canceled their visit to Syria due to the “obvious threat” of security. It was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany on Thursday, March 27.
It was noted that Nancy Fezer and Gerhard Carner had intended to go to Damascus to discuss safety issues and prospects for the return of Syrian refugees. However, due to the warning of German security authorities about the threat, the drive was canceled in the final stage.
As mentioned, the visit was planned with difficult security measures, however, despite this, the decision to cancel was made at the last minute. The details of the threat are not specified, but there is an assumption that it may be related to the security of the German and Austria delegations.
Ministers have planned negotiations on the Syrian government’s transfer, as well as meetings with UN representatives and humane organizations.
In connection with the deterioration of the Syrian situation, the Federal Department of Germany transfer has temporarily suspended the consideration of asylum cases for the Syrians. The ministry is also working on developing a mechanism for temporarily removing refugees in Syria to assess conditions for return, maintaining their protection in Germany.
Remember that recently in Syria, Assad supporters attacked many areas and killed twelve -two people. Later, the new Syrian administration promised the protection of all minors. However, the Alavites are afraid that their community will be restrained – both for the religious religion and for the support of the Assad family.
