In Russia, 23 Azov fighters were sentenced, 11 of them in Abtentia, as they returned to Ukraine as part of an exchange.
The Russian Russian Rostov-on-Don military court condemned 23 Ukrainian troops serving in the Azov regiment for different years, to be jailed to a maximum security colony. It was reported by Mediazon on Wednesday, March 26.
According to the publication, Yaroslav Zhdamarov, Alexander Merohenets, Nikita Tako, Alexander Mukhin, Oleg Tishkul and Arthur Geksky have received 22 years at a maximum security colony. Alexander Irch and Artem Grebeshkov – 20 years, Oleg Mizhgorodsky – 17 years old, Oleg Zharkov – 13 years old, Anatoly Gritsik – 19 years old, Alexei Symikov – 23 years. All of these are plans to appeal to the verdict.
Eleven people received the sentence sentences, as they returned to Ukraine as part of an exchange. David Kasatkin and Dmitry Labinsky have been punished for 23 years in a maximum security colony.
Nine women who have worked as military cuisines have received sentences letter in a general regime colony. Their deadlines vary from 13 to 14 years. Women were exchanged in September 2024.
The prosecutor demands different terms of imprisonment for each, from 13 to 24 years, depending on the prosecution. The case against the deceased at the pre -trial detention center of Alexander Ishchenko was closed, so he was not punished.
In court, the accused repeatedly declared the filtration of their testimony, interrogations without lawyers, embarrassing treatment, refusal of medical care and torture.
“I saw bags on my heads, wires in various body limbs, cracked bones -but, rejected stones … no medical care … twice a year we went to the shower – we came out better than went, also broken,” Nikita Takayonin said in his last word.
Remember that last year in Russia to seven Azov regiment fighters, the court pronounced sentences – from 25 to 28 years in prison.
