The President of France noted that he supported the concept of “peace by strength”, proposed by his American colleague Donald Trump.
All penalties from Russia will only be raised when the Russian Federation retreats to the international recognized border of Ukraine. This is French president Emmanuel Macron at a joint meeting with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Paris on Wednesday, March 26.
“If tomorrow Russia said it would completely return to the international recognized borders of Ukraine, all penalties would be raised. It all depends on Russia’s choice to comply with the standards of international law,” the French leader assured.
According to him, he supports the concept of “peace by strength”, which his American colleague Donald Trump suggested, but this concept does not mean raising penalties from Russia.
“The country that is scary has made an act to accept the ceasefire without any conditions. And on the other hand, the aggression, who begins to set conditions to not accept it. The issue of lifting penalties from Russia is not on the agenda,” Macron emphasized.
As you know, the Kremlin said after negotiations with the United States that Truce’s Energy was said to have begun on March 18, but in relation to the Black Sea, the ceasefire will begin to operate after lifting penalties from Rosselkhozbank and other Russian financial organizations involved in operation with international food trade.
Later, Donald Trump said he was considering the terms of the Russian Federation by agreeing with a Truce with Ukraine in the Black Sea, in particular, slightly lifting penalties.
