“It can affect the important programs of tuberculosis struggle in the European region, especially in the new methods. Treatment, technological achievements and innovations that we have instruments, we change tuberculosis treatment for the better – and I hope, forever,” Klyiga said.

It is emphasized that in the European region an indicator of the success of the treatment of people with new and collapse of tuberculosis, which began treatment of the first -line drugs in 2022, up to 75.5%. As in recent years, the treatment rate in 2023 was lower in European economic zone countries than in other European region countries (67.9% against 77.2%, respectively).
