The National Defense Minister of Lithuania Doville Shusanen said he had a meeting with colleagues from Poland and Finland, which discussed the union of Vostochny Shield’s initiatives and the Baltic Defense Line. Finland’s participation in developing a joint plan for strengthening the boundaries is also considered.
Planned in the Poland model, the northern -east can be strengthened by many layers of barriers, especially in mines. Lithuania and its partners will work with funding from the European Union to implement this initiative.
An agreement was also signed along with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in developing the infrastructure of residential, improving civil protection and health care, as well as conducting joint security teachings and national defense forces.
