The explosion in the center of Rivne, which occurred today, March 20, is classified as an attempt by a terrorist attack and has already opened an appropriate criminal case.

According to the investigation, a home -made explosive device (SVP), which takes place in a car, exploded near one of the city shopping centers. The driver and passenger were injured in various severity, ”said SBU.
It is noted that SBU and the National Police take comprehensive measures to establish all the circumstances of the explosion and are involved in persons.
The preliminary investigation continues in accordance with art. 258 (terrorist act) and art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, combat deliveries or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, added to SBU.
