Washington in his approach to negotiations does not rely on Kremlin’s confidence, while striving to achieve specific results.
U.S. president Mike Waltz said the US administration has no illusions against Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the information he faces. CNN reported this on Wednesday, March 19.
According to him, in a recent telephone conversation, US president Donald Trump and Putin discussed a wide range of issues, including the possibility of a stop in Ukraine and exchange of prisoners.
Waltz emphasized that Washington in his approach to negotiations is based on what does not show complete trust in the Kremlin, but at the same time looking to achieve specific results.
“This question is not about believing in someone. It’s about trust, but the confidence should be based on something. There is the condition of the stubbornness of the negotiation process. Putin is a tough person. We have no illusions about who to deal with. At the same time, both sides are finally interested in killing,” said the counselor.
At the same time, Washington insists that negotiations are only part of a broader pressure approach for Moscow.
Remember that the USA is willing to impose new sanctions against Russia if President Donald Trump’s negotiations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are not good.
