Ukraine considers the installation of Singer and Starstreak on sea portable anti -aircraft missile systems on sea drones.
The commander of the forces of unmanned systems Vadim Sukharevsky said this in an interview with the Polish publication of Defense24.
The naval drones are already becoming a full-fledged surface platform, which in the future will be able to establish an even larger weapon range.
According to Sukharevsky, it is recommended to install the FIM-92 Stinger or Starstreak MSR in the future on such superficial platforms.
They would be very effective in the fight against aviation, ”the commander said.
The use of portable anti -aircraft missile systems will reduce the superiority of the enemy in the air and increase the survival and efficiency of the use of sea drones.
This should lead to a loss of enemy control from the fleet and air over the waters of the Black and Azov seas, which will play a key role in the operation of the occupied Crimea, ”said Sukharevsky.
The commander added that the most important thing in the field of sea drones, as in all other areas, is the constant development and improvement, which constantly works on unmanned systems.
It is known that Ukraine is already using sea drones with Air-Air anti-aircraft missiles P-73.
