Five mobile phones, four drones, two cameras, a flash drive, as well as a hidden “forest” installed to monitor monitoring the object of critical infrastructure was obtained from detainees.
On February 24, the Latvian state security service was confined to the people of Estonia and Ukraine on suspicion of illegally collecting information about critical infrastructure facilities. Delfi reported this on Tuesday, March 11.
Criminal proceedings were established against detainees under an espionage article – the collection of secret information to move it to another country or a foreign organization.
During the restraint, they took five mobile phones, four drones, two cameras, a flash drive, as well as a hidden “forest chamber”, which was installed to monitor the object of critical infrastructure.
These people have been confined on February 12 in Estonia for the use of drones near critical infrastructure objects. In addition, one of the detainees last year received a warning that it was forbidden to photograph such objects in Latvia without permission.
In both suspects, the court selected a prevention proposal in the form of arrest.
According to the Delfi Estonian portal, one of the detainees is the citizen of Estonia Matthias Rick, a roil transport photographer.
Currently, detainees are suspected of spy in Russia’s favor.
Earlier, in the Netherlands, in the suspicion of industrial spy, a 43-year-old Russian citizen, who worked with many microcircuits production companies, was confined.
