Russia threatens Australia with “serious consequences” in the case of peacekeepers in Ukraine.
The Russian embassy in Australia said that their country has repeatedly made it clear that foreign military presence in Ukraine is “absolutely unacceptable.”
Thus, the idea of deploying Western military contingents in Ukraine under the guise of peacekeepers is aimed at undermining peaceful efforts … For Australia, joining such a coalition will have serious consequences. Once again, we, Western boots on Earth, are unacceptable to Russia, and we will not remain passive observers – added to the embassy.
They noted that this statement is a “warning”, not a threat, and Russia does not intend to harm Australia.
On March 4, it was reported that Australia is considering the possibility of a business trip to Ukraine.
Bloomberg quoted Australia Australia Australia Albanese, who stated that the struggle of Ukraine against Russia consisted in protecting international law:
We support the people of Ukraine and the President of Zelensky. Currently, a discussion is being held about a possible peacekeeping process, and my government and I am open to consider any proposals in the future.
