    A large purchase of drones for the Armed Forces will be made by the Ministry of Defense.

    For three years, the memorandum has been and remains the largest buyer of drones in Ukraine. And the number of unmanned aerial vehicles, which are supplied in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has increased significantly. This was stated by the director of the Department of Procurement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Gleb Kanevsky, the Ministry of Defense Service reports.

    According to him, in 2023, MU acquired thousands of drones for the army, and in 2024 the number of bought UAVs amounted to 1.2 million pieces. This year their number will increase significantly.

    This year, the numbers will be even more, because the power of the internal OPC in 2025 is approximately 4.5 million FPV. And the Ministry of Defense plans to buy them all, ”said Kanevsky.

    In 2025, to buy drones, the Ministry of Defense will send more than 110 billion UAH. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that all the procurement plans have already received budget funds this year, which would allow you to send drones to the front as soon as possible.

    We will recall that in December last year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution, which on an ongoing basis receives the purchase of unmanned systems and means of EWS of internal production. This should accelerate the purchases of these systems.
