American Aerospace Company Maxar Technologies has disconnected access to Ukraine in its satellite photos due to “administrative request”.
Ukraine has no access to the satellite images of the American Aerospace Company Maxar Technologies. Access was closed after the US decision to suspend the exchange of intelligence in Ukraine. On Friday, March 7, the company said, Reuters reported.
It says the company has contracts with the US government and dozens of countries-unions and partners, and “every client itself decides on how to use and send this data.”
As mentioned in the company, one of these contracts ended with Gegd (Global Enhanced Geint Delivery Program) is a US government program that provides access to commercial satellite images collected by the United States.
“The US government has decided to temporarily suspend the impact of Ukrainian accounts on Gegd,” Maxar explained.
At the same time, the United States National Geospace Intelligence Agency noted that the United States temporarily suspended Ukraine’s access to the Gegd system, “the main portal for accessing commercial photos purchased by the US government.”
At the same time, CNN has written that the United States continues to share reconnaissance data in Ukraine, which will help its troops protect itself, but “open” intelligence exchange, which can be used by Ukraine’s armed forces for attacks on Russian troops.
