Hungary has become a single country who has voted against a joint final document in support of Ukraine.
At the peak of the European Union, they adopted a final communique with a paragraph of additional support of Ukraine. On this evening on Thursday, March 6, Suprilna reported.
With the subsequent support of Ukraine, 26 countries-member countries of the European Union, other than Hungary, voted.
Even Slovakia voted for the document, as they promised to add an item about the “need to resolve the issue” of gas transit through Ukraine in the commander’s text.
Although this declaration will not be included in the official results of the summit, it will be included in applications as “certainly supported by 26 member states.”
In the past, a draft was published by a Communique, according to which:
-
There may be no negotiations in Ukraine without Ukraine;
-
Cannot be negotiated with security in Europe without European participation;
-
A truce is possible only within the framework of a comprehensive peace agreement;
-
The agreement must contain reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.
The EU also confirms the willingness to continue to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine for its strongest position in negotiations.
Earlier it was reported that the European rearrament plan, recently submitted by European Commission president Ursula Von der Lyan, has agreed to all 27 EU members’ states.
