In the region, Lovil on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Striy, the bus collided with a truck. As a result, one person was killed, another 16 were injured.
The event occurred yesterday, March 5, at about 18.00. The press service of the police in the region Lviv reports.
As the police previously established, the collision of the bus became, headed by a 62-year-old resident of the Striy district and a DAF truck under the control of a 54-year-old resident of Kherson, the report said.
As a result of the accident:
- The bus driver was killed at the scene of the injury;
- The driver of the truck and 15 bus passengers (girls aged 1, 7, 10 and 17 years old, ten women aged 19 to 64 years, as well as 37-year-old residents of the Striy district)-were subjected to and delivered to medical institutions.
Open criminal proceedings in accordance with part 2 of art. 286 of the Criminal Code (violation of road safety rules).
The sanction of the article provides for a punishment – imprisonment for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or without it, the police noted. – Law enforcement officers establish the circumstances of the event.
