Polos know very well what the loss of freedom is, what the struggle for freedom is and how they pay for it, Elzbieta Vitek emphasized.
Ukrainians are fighting not only for their freedom, but also for the Poles, for the freedom of the whole of Europe and of the whole democratic world. This was announced on Saturday, July 16, by the head of the Sejm of Poland, Elzbieta Witek, reports Polish Radio.
“Ukrainians are fighting not only for their freedom, but they are also fighting for us, the Poles, for the citizens of the Baltic countries, they are fighting for the freedom of the whole of Europe and of the whole democratic world, “he said at a meeting with Yaroslav residents.
He drew attention to how the Poles identified the Ukrainian refugees and noted that “nowhere in the world did anyone help those fleeing the war.”
“The Poles showed a big heart, a lot of empathy, they opened their own houses,” Vitek said.
Witek stressed that “Polos know very well what the loss of freedom is, what the struggle for freedom is and how they pay for it.”
“Therefore, we responded with great understanding to the misfortune that happened to the Ukrainians,” said Elzbieta Vitek.
He noted that “Ukrainians are now fighting not only for their freedom, but also for us, the Poles, for the citizens of the Baltic countries.”
“We will not be able to stay away from Ukraine even for a moment, because Putin will not stop in Ukraine,” the politician insisted.
Earlier it was learned that in Poland they started raising money for the Bayraktar TB2 attack drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that Poland sent to Ukraine more than 240 tanks and nearly 100 units of other armored vehicles to resist the Russian aggression. Deliveries are estimated at $ 2 billion.
