Hungary blocked the draft of the EU document, which ensured security and assistance in Ukraine.
On Friday, March 28, at a meeting of the ambassadors of the European Union, representatives of Budapest blocked the draft text regarding Ukraine, which contained the formulations of security guarantees. There was also a new package of military aid. This was reported by Politico.
It is noted that this decision has become part of a wider difference between the EU countries in order to get closer to the support of Ukraine in the war.
Meanwhile, the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitso said that his country would abandon further financial or military assistance to Ukraine. Fitzo also rejected the so -called “world through force” because he considers it an unrealistic policy.
Recall that in February, the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban compared assistance in Ukraine with the “robbery of Europe”. He stated that “Brussels bureaucrats destroyed Europe” and the fact that “our money goes to Ukraine, for a hopeless war.”
