The tanker, which brings oil from the Russian Federation to Egypt, restrained Finland’s authorities on December 26. Before that, in the Baltic Sea there was a ravine of Estlink 2 underwater cable, according to which the energy compound occurred between Estonia and Finland.
Eagle S noticed in the area of the incident. According to the MarineTraffic service, the tanker was not only passed in the immediate vicinity of the incident, but also slowed down a quarter a few minutes before the cable intersection, after which he stopped completely. After a few maneuvers, the tank got speed and continued his way.
During the restraint, it became the Eagle S no one of the anchors. He was later found at the cable break area. Investigators believe the ship deliberately pulled a cable under a few kilometers to cut off the cable.
