The Russian Foreign Ministry said Russia has received prior consent to Alexander Darchiev’s appointment as an ambassador to the United States.
It was noted that at the time of consultations of Russian and USA delegations on February 27 in Istanbul, the American side “issued an official note with Agreman at the Director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Darchiev of the new extraordinary and plenotentiary of the Russian Federation in the United States of America.”
