In Germany, the reconnaissance ships of a new type will be built

The German army signed a multi -billion dollar contract for the construction of new reconnaissance ships. Germany plans to introduce three such ships until 2029. It was reported by the Russian -language reaction of German Tabloid Bild.

On February 25, on February 25, the construction of the first of them began a Penny ship in Volgast (Meklenburg-Pomerania).

Vessels with a length of nearly 130 meters are designed for reconforming and equipped with advanced sensory monitoring systems, processing and data transfer. They should be the “eyes and ears” of the German armada.

The new class of ships can be in the sea for up to a year without entering the port. For this, the possibility of refueling and replenishment of stocks directly to the open sea is provided.

The ship was equipped with a landing site for helicopters and got drones rider.

The contract for the construction of ships at a number of billion euros was received by maritime vessels Lürssen Group. Many North German ships participated in the project, but the nasal section of the first ship was created on the Penny Shipyard.

Riding each ship will be 100 people – one half of Navy sailors, the second half – Cyberspace military personnel and information systems.

The new intelligence ships will be replaced by obsolete oste class ships, which have been running for more than 30 years.
