Russian President Vladimir Putin has removed Dmitry Rogozin from the position of CEO of the state -owned corporation Roscosmos. It was reported on the Kremlin website on Friday, July 15.
“Release Rogozin Dmitry Olegovich from the post of General Director of the state corporation for space activities Roskosmos. This order will take effect from the date of its signing,” the document said.

Rogozin, 58, has been in this position for just over four years, since the end of May 2018.
According to Meduza, Rogozin could replace Anton Vaino as head of the presidential administration.
At the same time, it does not include that he could be the next Kremlin administrator of the so -called “DNR” and “LNR”.
Russian sources note that the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, likes Rogozin, so they are even willing to “award” him the position of deputy prime minister.

Putin also removed Yuri Borisov from the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and appointed him Director General of Roscosmos.
Knowing that in government, Borisov is responsible for issues of state policy in the field of industry, defense industry, state defense orders, technological and nuclear supervision, the development of the GLONASS system, military cooperation -technical in foreign states, law enforcement, civil defense and fixing the state border of the Russian Federation. He also oversaw the Ural Federal District (since July 2021).
Earlier this week, Rogozin announced preparations for serial production of the Sarmat nuclear missile. He called it “the most powerful in the world.”
