Israel opens against the deployment of the forces of the new Syrian administration in the south of Damascus and asserts the complete demilitarization of the country’s southern provinces.
The Israeli Defense Army (IDF) struck military facilities in southern Syria. On Wednesday, February 26, the IDF’s press service on the Telegram Channel and the publication of The Times of Israel was reported.
“Over the past few hours, team centers and some things with weapons have been attacked,” said the Israeli army.
The IDF noted that the existence of military forces in the southern part of Syria was a danger to the people of Israel and announced its desire to continue the operation to eliminate potential threats.
Israeli defense Israel Katz’s minister confirmed the blows in southern Syria following reports of explosions in some areas south of Damascus. He noted that Israel would “not allow the south of Syria to turn south of Lebanon.”
The blows were struck after several Israeli officials, including prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, sought the demilitarization of the south of Syria in the last days and warned that Israel would not allow the Syrian army to move south of Damascus.
“Any attempt at the Syrian regime and the country’s terrorist organizations to get a lump in the security zone in southern Syria will be met by the fire,” Katz said.
The Reuters said that on the night of February 26, the city of Kisve was attacked by Israel, located 20 km south of the capital of the country of Damascus, as well as the southern province of Syria Daria. In Damascus itself, the sounds of planes flying in the city and many explosions were also heard. The agency refers to both local residents and resources in the security services of the New Syrian government.
Earlier, Israel struck the tunnel, using Hezbollah to smuggle the arms between Syria and Lebanon.
As you know, US president Donald Trump raised the ban on sending 2000-pounds bombs to Israel. Joe Biden’s administration suspended sending bombs due to anxiety about victims in the Gaza population.
