The European Union may announce the allocation of a new military assistance package in Ukraine on the anniversary of the Russian Full -scale Invasion, February 24.
Ukraine will receive a new military assistance package from the European Union. This will be a “strong signal” about European support. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Defense Andryus Cubillus, written by the Guardian on Friday, February 21.
According to him, Europe aims to achieve “peace by strength.” In this regard, Cubilyus has indicated a new military assistance package in Ukraine.
“We discuss all the possibilities of sending a strong signal to the Ukrainians and the whole world that we are on the way with Ukrain,” said European commissioner.
It is expected that the European Union will present a new assistance package on Monday, February 24.
“I hope that on the third anniversary of the war, the time to come next Monday, a great opportunity to submit such a message will be provided,” Kutilyus said.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union was considering the allocation of a new military assistance package for Ukraine for at least 6 billion euros to strengthen the country’s strategic position before negotiations with the Russian Federation.
