During 2023 and 2024, artillery production was tripled, armored personnel – five times, contraceptive weapons – twice, ammunition – 2.5 times, ”he said.
According to Schmigal, now Ukraine produces about a third of the necessary weapons:
The task that the government is in front of itself is to bring its own weapon production, at least half of the need at present. To achieve this goal, this year we allocated a record amount for the modernization of our OPC weapons and the purchase of weapons.
Schmigal noted that today the government decides to allocate another UAH of 7.9 billion for the purchase of drones.
These funds will be redirected by the State Service for Special Communications and Protection of Information, which will make the necessary purchases, ”he added.
