Ukraine has enjoyed the completion of 18 of 31 recommendations for avoiding corruption among members of Parliament, Judge and Prosecutor. In other recommendations, 11 were partially completed, and two were not executed.
Ukraine shows the development of corruption restraint to officials, however, in some places it is necessary to make more effort. This was discussed in the European Council group report against corruption (GRECO), RBC-Ukraine reports.
It was noted that Ukraine was satisfied with 18 of the 31 recommendations for avoiding corruption among members of Parliament, judges and prosecutors. In other recommendations, 11 were partially completed, and two were not executed.
Greco emphasized that Ukraine was working on fighting corruption at a very difficult time – during a whole war in Russia.
“Greco has recorded a noticeable development in fulfilling its recommendations to ensure effective administration of existing requirements for financial expression; resolving parliamentary interaction with lobbyists; Ordering the process of appointing judges and with the authority, “the European council group group against corruption said.
It also added that Ukraine has enacted important law, members of the Supreme Council of Justice, the higher commission of the Judge’s qualification, as well as the Public Council of DobraStenity was appointed.
At the same time, the recommendations related to the judicial persecution remained unabreviated.
Recommendations are fully named. Among them:

steps to ensure proper control over existing requirements for expressing property;

Approval of policies governing the relationships of representatives of people with lobbyists and other third parties who want to influence the legislative process.

Assessment of the efficiency of reducing the number of organs involved in the appointment of the judges.
The recommendations for:

Improving gifts of gifts that representatives, judges and prosecutors can accept, especially to reduce thresholds of the value of such gifts;

ensuring the processing of all bills in compliance with the appropriate level of transparency and consultation;

Developing and approved of Ukraine’s human deputies code along with the participation of representatives of the people themselves and provides easy access to public representatives;
-
strengthening the internal control mechanisms of being respectful of the council;
-
Ensures the assessments of the judges that judges will be conducted by judges based on the predetermined one and objective criteria for their day -to -day activities;
-
To all of the proceedings all the judges’ removal decisions were made without his participation and could appeal;
-
A clearer formulation of the definition of discipline offenses related to the behavior of the judges.
Remember that in 2022 Verkhovna Rada adopted a new approach to anti -corruption.
