Ukraine’s defenders continue their offensive in the Kherson region. So far, several dozen communities have been liberated from Russian occupiers.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine resumed control of 44 communities in the Kherson region. However, a significant part of the region is still under temporary Russian occupation.
This was announced by the acting head of the region’s military administration Dmitry Butriy at a briefing on Thursday, July 14th.
He stressed that the liberated settlements are subject to the ongoing shelling of the Russian army. Russia is attacking kindergartens, schools and residential buildings.
Currently, 656 communities in the Kherson region are waiting for de-occupation from Russian occupiers. A significant part of these villages, towns and cities almost from the first days of a comprehensive war fell under the control of the Russians.
Recall that the Russian occupiers tried to advance east in the directions of Bakhmut, Liman and Donetsk, but did not succeed, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine were holding their positions.
It was previously reported that since the end of June, almost daily bases and ammunition storage near the Russian military in Ukraine have been on fire.
