In Pokrovsk, February 18, the last New Mail branch was closed – No. 3.
The co -owner of the company Volodymyr Porzhnyuk told about this on his Facebook.
Over the past two months, he has become a post office to unsurpassed, and our employees became support for the people who remained in the city, says Pordskhynuk.
Closed employees worked today in a city where there are no more supermarkets, vessels, schools, water, gas and light, but there are several more small grocery stores and Novova. Disputes were released and accepted here, people here could warm up, connect to the Internet, charge phones and take cash.
Until 2022, ten branches of NP worked in Pokrovsk. In December 2024, there were two more, where 13 workers worked. In January, one of them was closed, people were evacuated to safer cities and were already put to another job in our company.
The third branch and three of its employees worked for the latter in Pokrovsk.
Stanislav is the head of the department. He took the courage to lead the department after his previous branch was robbed. He remains in the city with the younger brother and mother, who still bake bread for people with the church community.
The 20-year-old Sashko, working earlier at the mine, but left him and went to a new mail. He lent the bicycle from his friend to get from work to the commandant’s hour, which begins in the city at 15:00.
The third – Vadim, who works in our last fall, does not leave the city, because she looks after his mother with disabilities. He says that people here call the guardian angels, ”the NP co-owner wrote on his Facebook.
These guys received and released 80-90 parcels per day – food, medicine, generators, things from those who leave the city. There were about a hundred people every day. Two news, Michael and Yuri carried these premises.
The team worked behind the wall of concrete blocks with clogged windows on generators.
We planned to close the branch in December, but our employees begged us not to do this, because for the petition we remained the last connection with civilization. Therefore, the last time was postponed, and our employees were ready to work. But safety conditions no longer allow us to do this. I thank my colleagues for their initiation. And courage. We are the last company that remained in Pokrovsk.
