During the Munich Conference, Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that new sanctions against Russia would be imposed in the event that Moscow refused “enthusiastic” peace negotiations in Ukraine. Reuters reported this on Saturday, February 15.
Countries emphasized that the main goal is to ensure long -term security and stability for Ukraine as a sovereignty and independent state.
The application was made against the backdrop of Ukraine’s ongoing support of the G7 Group, seeking to achieve a strong peace agreement with a reliable security guarantee to prevent the new beginning of the war.
Ministers also mentioned Ukraine’s strong support in the struggle for the freedom, sovereignty and integrity of the territory.
On the issue of Russia’s possible return to the G8, German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Annalena Berbok, a category that opposed it, emphasized that there was no normal cooperation with Russia in Putin’s refusal conditions.
Remember, US president Donald Trump assured that Ukraine would participate in Russian negotiations when the war was completed.
