Czech’s initiative to buy artillery shells in third countries allowed Ukraine to transfer 1.6 million bullets, Czech Republic President Petr Pavel said. Reuters are aware of this on Saturday, February 15.
According to him, there is currently sufficient funding to ensure the supply of shells, at least April 2025.

“We can’t release the gas pedal,” Pavel said in a comment on Czech television, urging partners to continue funding the initiative during the Munich Security Conference.
Earlier, Czech Republic Prime Minister Peter Fiala, reported that according to this procedure, Ukraine will receive 500 thousand shells until the end of 2024.
The country’s Reuters resource said the number of half a million concerns only 155 mm caliber (NATO standard), and the remaining set-other types of shells with a caliber of over 100 mm.
Remember that the Czech Republic considers the possibility of creating a new initiative for Ukraine to buy ammunition and encourage other EU members to join.
