On February 14–16, the 61st annual Munich Security Conference will be held in Germany. This year he will discuss several important international security issues, but, according to US Secretary of State Mark Rubio, the main topic will be Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Munich Security Conference is an annual event at which politicians, military and various government and non -governmental international organizations discuss foreign policy, security and defense.
The chairman of the conference, Christoph Gouisgen, explained that among the main topics of this year – energy, climate, AI, and international trade, but the main problem will be the Russian war against Ukraine (this was confirmed by the State Secretary of Rubio).
More than 60 leaders of countries and governments and more than 100 ministers will come to the conference. The Ukrainian delegation is headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
US President Donald Tampa will not be at the conference. The United States will come from the American deputy cervical Jay Di Wans (with whom Zelenski should hold a bilateral meeting), Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special representative of the United States of Ukraine and the Russian Federation KELLOLG.
In the West there will be no official representatives of the Russian Federation, but Goisen explained that he is called “Russian from non -governmental organizations, from the opposition – both from Russia and from emigration.”
