Alar Caris believes the EU should further strengthen its freedom and stop importing Russian energy bearers.

President Estonia Alar Caris spoke for the introduction of a complete trading embargo related to Russia of the European Union. He wrote about this on Social Network X (formerly Twitter) afterwards, along with European Commission, Latvia and Poland presidents, he visited Lithuanian capital Vilnius.

The reason for this visit is the synchronization of the energy systems of Baltic countries with continental Europe.

“The European Union should further strengthen its freedom and stop importing Russia’s energy in the EU. We must seriously take into account the possibility of a complete trade embargo against Russia,” Caris wrote.

As has already been written, Baltic countries have turned off their electric systems from the Bral’s energy system (Belarus – Russia – Estonia – Latvia – Lithuania) and working in isolated mode.

Earlier, Baltic countries were completely abandoned Russian gas.
