The Donald Trump team is trying to soften his statement about the move of the Palestinians.
Donald Trump’s statement about the possibility of moving the Palestinians from the Gaza sector and the transition of the enclave under the control of the United States caused a negative reaction to many countries. From this, his team is forced to explain the presidential words, writes Bloomberg.
The press secretary of the White House Livitt said that the United States did not plan to enter the troops in the Gaza sector, and the Palestinian resettlement, if this happens, may be temporary.
US Secretary of State Rubio said that Trump seeks to become a “leading role in gas restoration”, and does not control it.
The head of the Pentagon Hegset noted that Washington was “very far from” from some kind of military presence in the enclave.
Recall that the Arab countries made a joint statement against the idea of Trump about the translation of the Palestinians. Great Britain, France and Germany also condemned Trump’s initiative.
Meanwhile, Israel will prepare a plan for residents from the Gaza sector.
According to the Minister of Defense of Israel, the plan will include departure through land corridors, as well as “special measures” for caring for sea and air routes.
Israel is convinced that the Hamas group uses the enclave civilians as a living shield. Thus, people need to leave any place where they agree.
In this context, Minister Katz mentioned Canada, who previously talked about its readiness to accept the inhabitants of the Gaza sector. He also stated that Spain, Ireland and Norway were accused of Israel in the gas sector, therefore, if they do not accept the Palestinians, this would “expose their hypocrisy”.
