USAID has more than 10,000 employees, of which nearly two -thirds work overseas.
Almost all employees of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) worldwide will go on an administrative vacation. This is reported on the agency’s website.
“On Friday, February 7, at 23:59, the East European time, the entire USAID staff will go to administrative leave worldwide, except for a specific person responsible for fulfilling critical functions for Mission, basic leadership and specially defined programs, “the message said.
The work will continue with USAID employees, which will be reported on this until Thursday, February 6.
For the staff of an agency working outside the United States, a plan will develop according to which USAID will organize and pay their return to the states within 30 days. During this time, the termination of PSC and ISC contracts will also be held, which is not defined as primary.
The administrative vacation does not provide for safety wages and benefits.

The agency was created in 1961 to combat poverty, strengthen democracy and protect human rights and global health. USAID provides human assistance to more than 100 countries, including natural disasters, medical care, as well as eating programs.
