According to polling results, 67% of respondents expressed support for military assistance in Ukraine from Germany.
In Germany, most citizens are promoting expansion of military assistance in Ukraine, and some of them support the idea of increasing supplies. This attitude has been demonstrated by the results of a survey conducted by the Wahlen Research Group for the ZDF Frontal.
According to data, 67% of respondents supported the provision of military assistance to Ukraine from Germany. While 27% believe that help should be more strengthened. Another 40% would like to expand current help for defense from Russian invasion. And only 27% of respondents who are reducing the supply of weapons.
“67% is a clear majority, which means that Germans do not feel fatigue from Ukraine, even though politicians sometimes talk about the opposite,” said expert Yana Pulierin from the European Council on international relations.
It is noted that the support for military assistance in West Germany is higher than the East. In the west, 70% promotes the provision of weapons, of which 28% maintains the increase in equipment, and 42% for maintaining the current assistance level. In the east of the country, this figure is 53%, from 20% in support of the increase in supplies and 33% for maintaining the current level of assistance.
Remember, the number of Germans who support the provision of military support in Ukraine continues to grow.
In February 2024, 33% of Germans raised for the rise in western military assistance in Ukraine, and in April their share rose to 42%.
