The American leader said the European countries were “intense” with the states, and they almost bought it.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he intends to introduce duties to products from EU countries. He said about it on Friday, January 31, answering questions from journalists at the White House.
“Shall I introduce duties against the EU? Do you want an honest answer or a political answer? Of course. The EU has been treated so much,” Trump said.
“They don’t take our cars. They don’t take our agricultural products. It’s important that they take almost nothing. We have a huge EU shortage. Therefore, we will do something very important in the EU,” he added.
Trump explained that it would allow the United States to correct the situation with trade deficiency.
Remember that on Trump’s eve says he has decided to introduce 25% of the duty to the goods from Canada and Mexico and, perhaps, 10% from China. In Canada, acknowledged that the actions of the new US administration will be painful, but promised a specific immediate answer.
