The information that Russia is preparing for the mass production of the modernized version of the ISKANDER-M system with a high range is false.
This was reported by the Center for the fight against misinformation:
In the Ukrainian information space, there are reports that Russia is ready for the mass production of the new Iskander-M rocket. Presumably, its flight range will be 1000 km, and it will have increased accuracy. These data do not have a real basis and are not true. They were widespread by one of the Western publications, which previously published false about the ability of Russia to produce 25 ORESHNIK missiles within a month.
The Bulgarian police wrote that the increase in the level of flight levels became possible due to the improvement of the engine and increased by 10-15% of the hard fuel charge. The rocket allegedly retained constructive similarities with 9m723, and received new leadership systems.
According to the head of CPD Andriy Kovalenko, “Russians use this publication for such a custom for the English audience and with the expectation that information will fall into our information space.”
He emphasized that the sanctions of Russians are technologically difficult to create the Iskander-M production process in principle.
