Ukraine will receive a new F-16 fighter party from the Netherlands this year.

This was indicated on January 31 during a visit to the Netherlands by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov.

The main priority is the F-16 program. We expect that the transfer of the next batch of aircraft in 2025 will continue to train pilots, engineering and technical composition. The Netherlands play a key role in the Air Force coalition, supporting the development of our aviation infrastructure and capabilities, ”said Umarov during a visit to the Hague.

The Netherlands previously promised to transfer 24 F-16 fighters to Ukraine.

According to the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Braselmans, the Netherlands will promote Ukrainian ground teams to support the F-16.

According to the report on the web site of the Ministry of Defense of the Dutch Ministry of Defense, training with the participation of two Ukrainian soldiers takes place at the air base and continues until the end of April.

The Netherlands were one of the driving forces of the International Coalition, which filed Ukraine’s aircraft to Ukraine to strengthen its air defense in combating Russian aggression.
