New details have emerged in the case of the chief psychiatrist of the armed forces, Oleg Friends, who was exposed by the SBU.
According to SBU, he deployed to Turkey twice in 2024. There he tried to buy a three-sided villa with a swimming pool for 650 thousand euros, the “public” writes.
During his trips, his friend actively copied with a realtor who offered various luxury housing options.
His adopted daughter lives in Turkey, for whom his friend bought a new Toyota. He shot the psychiatrist on his phone while lighting the video.
He paid $300,000 for the magnificent dog enclosure. According to the documents, this is a third of the money that he officially received for his professional activities.
His current wife, Olga Sedova, is Russian and has already received Ukrainian citizenship. Her son, the passion of friends, lives in Kyiv, but still has a Russian passport.
The court sentenced the friend to 60 days with the possibility of release on bail of 49 million US dollars.
On January 21, the head of the psychiatric clinic of the National Military Clinical Center “Main Clinical Hospital” – psychiatrist of the armed forces of Ukraine Oleg Friends was detained on suspicion of illegal enrichment.
According to the investigation, he received assets of more than $1 million, which is much higher than his legal income. This is a private house in the Kyiv region, apartments, land, BMW cars, cash in different currencies, totaling about $8 million.
He did not indicate ownership in his statement, but made it on his wife, daughter, sons and other strangers, the SBU notes.
According to the articles that the officer is facing, he faces up to 10 years behind bars.
