European Commission representatives said the screening report would be discussed in member states at the council.
The European Commission sent the European Council the first screening report of the first cluster of the foundations of Ukraine membership negotiations in the European Union, followed by a discussion of a member states’ document. This is reported by the information agency Interfax-Ukraine With a reference to the data that moved him to the European Commission.
Entry negotiations in the EU are divided into 35 sections combined with six clusters, which are opened alternately for developing their candidate’s fulfillment. The report was sent to the council on January 16.
The European Commission also reported that the screening report will be discussed with members of the State at the Council.
The European Commission said decisions regarding EU participation negotiations, the European Council should be adopted unanimously.
The EC also noted that Ukraine is a bilateral check process, which will last until the fall of 2025. Subject to Ukraine’s fulfillment of all conditions, the commission hopes to open negotiations with clusters, beginning with cluster 1 of the basis, soon in 2025.
Expansion is and remains a priority for this commission.
Earlier, on January 14, the European Commissioner said for the expansion of Marta Kos that in 2025 it was possible to open with Ukraine the first and thirty -which is compatible with members of the European Union membership.
Remember that the EU procedure refers to 35 sections of negotiations. 33 out of 35 sections of negotiations are combined with six thematic clusters, while sections 34 institutions and 35 other issues will be considered separately, out of clusters.
