The court selected a preventive measure that had no right to post bail for the former OTU “Kharkov” commander, who had previously been released on bail.
On Friday night, January 24, the court re -arrested former OTU “Kharkov” Yuri Galushkin. However, this time there is no right to bail, Sustilne reports.
It has been mentioned that the OTU ex-commander’s “Kharkov” ex-commander team intends to appeal this decision.
As reported, on January 20, the SBU and DBR announced the restraint of generals and colonels responsible for unsuccessful defense of the Kharkov region during the offensive of the invaders in 2024.
On the same day, the ex-commander of OTU “Kharkov” was told of the suspicion of a reckless attitude of a military official in the service, made under martial law, which led to serious consequences. On January 21, Galushkin was selected as a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 5 million hryvnia.
The next day, a bail of 5 million hryvnia was made for Galushkin. But after leaving the pre -trial detention center, he was given a new suspicion – due to new facts in the case of border violations in the Kharkov region.
Let us remember that in the beginning of May 2024, the Russians launched an attack on the Kharkov region. They were able to occupy some villages, mainly in the “gray zone” and began to fight for the city of Volchansk. The Ukrainian Armed Forces was able to stop the offensive and eliminate the immediate threat to Kharkov, but the enemy has not been driven out of the region.
